Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Should have a clear understanding of internal combustion engine and its sub systems & New technologies

Detailed knowledge of design and development of engine systems or similar complex systems

Should have a on hand experience of 3D CAD software like UG NX(preferred)  and CATIA

Adequate knowledge in CAE and CFD related to internal combustion engine & components

Adequate Knowledge in DFMEA, DFC, DFM and DFS

Understanding of dimensional control, tolerancing and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

Should have sufficient knowledge in detailing, tolerance stack up and GD&T

BOM preparation and maintaining

Need to have casting and machining process knowledge

Ability to interact with development team and supplier for component development

Versatile to work with support system teams and address the integration related concern

Ability to resolve vehicle level integration concerns

Ability to address the manufacturing and build issues with supplier and plant team

Time Management for self & CFT  for on time delivery of the project

Experience

5 to 8 years in engines

Industry Preferred

Automotive, Design and development in casting componets, maching building 

Qualifications

General Requirements

Component design and development
