Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1. Strong technical knowledge of paint processes like liquid painting, powder coating, plating, CED, phosphating & shot blasting etc.
2. Responsible for paint process audit at in-house/ supplier processes & NC's closure along with relevent stakeholders.
3. Paint failure analysis using quality tools & effective actions closure for all customer issues including In-house, yard & field issues
4. Process and part validation as per change management pertaining to painting processes.
5. Independently handling overall paint lab activities in the plant and ensure incoming and in-process paint testing.
6. Monitor and improve part audit process and review component audit parameters as per warrenty, yard & line issues feedback.
7. Supplier assessment for paint facility/ process approvals as per requirement.
8.Creation and modifications of paint standards & SOP to standardize paint improvements/ changes.
9. Skill development and training for lab technician w.r.t. paint testing, equipment calibration & new technology updates.

Qualifications
B Tech/BE- Paint Technology
General Requirements
1)Sound technical knowledge on paint processes and standards
2)Problems Solving Skills & QC tools conversant
3)Auditing skills- Paint process and systems audits
4)Knowledge of quality systems like ISO TS 16949, DWM & Business Processes
5)Understanding and application of PPAP, FMEA, APQP, Control Plan etc
6)New Part Development - Testing & Processs approvals
7)Understanding on different paint testing as per National/ International Standards
