Job Description

  • Product Industrialization: Develop robust assembly and installation processes for wiring harnesses, ECUs, sensors, and electrical components. Plan for the Infra requirements, Capacity planning, Layouts for new products and monitor the implementation of process development activities and monitoring progress against timelines.
  • Process development, Standardisation & Improvement: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling including workflows, travel cards and analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  •  Provide technical support for production and assembly operations: Troubleshoot electrical system issues related to harnesses, connectors, ECUs, and communication networks with Software’s like CAD, Zuken-E3, PBC fault finding, Minimize downtime, rework, and production losses through timely resolution
  • Change Management: Oversee the design, development, and implementation        of the changes in manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling and process documents w.r.t the design changes & communicate/train associates for the changes and application processes.
  • Continuous improvement: Develop and implement strategies for efficient manufacturing, including optimizing equipment layout, ensuring material flow, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate waste, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Competency Building: Train & mentor Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics knowhow & integration competency building in manufacturing team (associates), with dexterity experience.
  • Industrial Engineering: Ability to lead and implement detailed cycle time studies and value stream mapping to identify and eliminate process bottlenecks and non-value-added activities etc.
    • Skills:
    • Expertise in vehicle electrical architecture, wiring harness integration, ECU systems, manufacturing process development

    Functional Competencies:

    • Automotive Electrical & Electronic Systems, Vehicle electrical schematic design
    • Wiring Harness Installation & Routing and Tools – Cad, Zuken-E3, Capital Logic Etc
    • Hand on experience to handle CRO, DSO, function generator, Multimeter etc
    • Experience in communication system: CAN, J1939, RS232, RS422, RS485
    • Experience in PBC fault finding, electronics schematic design, microcontroller/ microprocessor programming
    • ECU, Sensor & Actuator Integration
    • Vehicle Power Distribution Systems
    • Electrical Testing & Validation
    • End-of-Line Functional Testing
    • Understanding of Engineering drawings of Electrical & Electronics Assemblies.
    • Process design & Layouting, Process Flow Development,
    • Process Engineering documentation such as, PFC, PFMEA, Control plan, SOPs, OCPs, HIRA, SOPs, Route card etc.
    • Well versed with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, 7 QC tools, TPM etc.
    • Worked with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 certified companies
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize processes and address issues.
