Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:

• Ensure buying activities (scheduling, follow up, bill of material matching)of all raw materials and bought out items, IUTN parts. Responsible for maintaining inventory within norms. key responsibility is to ensure timely availability of material as per plan. maintain supplier relations.
• Ensure no loss of production due to shortage of B/O items.
• Ensure procurement thru KANBAN, monitor and improve its effectiveness.
• Ensure timely dispatch of vendor aid material to subcontractors and timely receipts of finished materials.
• Analyzing daily/weekly shortages and plan action accordingly.
• Adherence to Material Inspection Plan.
• Weekly MRP runs. Communicate schedule changes to suppliers.
• ER (Engineering release) Implementation.
• Ensure 100% Supplier Schedule Adherence & Spare Parts schedule.
• DWM (daily work management) as per Deming Requirement.
• Coordinate with Mfg, Vendor Quality assurance Strategic sourcing dept and component development (vendor development) department.
• Monitor and control targeted inventory levels.
• Reduce material variance (minimum variation) b/w physical and system (SAP).
• Involvement in CFT/QC story activities to focus on achieving cost saving targets.
• Monitor line throw back & GR rejection & suggest CAPA.

Industry Preferred: OEM - Automobile / Any large manufacturing Industry

Qualification: BE or equivalent degree (Mech/Prod/IE)

Competencies:

1. Critical attributes viz: Customer focus, Teamwork, people management, result orientation with execution excellence, problem solving skills.

2. Operating knowledge SAP (preferred), KANBAN, JIT. 

3. Conversant with quality systems requirements like QS9000/ISO-9000/TS16949.

Functional Competencies / Skills critial for the job:
