Asst Manager-Quality Assurance

Qualitfication : Diploma in Mech 8-10 Years of Exp. or BE/ B Tech. (Mech) 6-10 Years of exp.

Job Description: 

1) Departmental representative for the allocated project. Responsible for carrying out all quality-related activities.

2) Should understand QAP requirements and accordingly plan necessary inspection activities such as drawing review, raw material inspection, bought-out inspection, dimensional inspection of components, sub-assemblies, functional tests, document review, FATs, final inspection, and packing inspection. (In house and at Supplier’s premises)

3) Should be responsible communication between the project CFT and weakly project review meeting. Also require communicating with TPIA/Customer, Vendors, and NABL Labs regarding inspection activities.

4) Maintenance of document related to quality of allocated project. Should be able to interact with Design team on approval of drawings, ATP, etc. and suggest the changes as and when required.

5) Should be aware of standards for various materials. Also, should have knowledge of NDT (RT, UT, MT, and PT).

6) To be able to carry out functional tests, document review and FATs internally. After successful completion, to be offered to the TPIA/customer.

7) Conversant with NC management, RCA and CAPA, periodic calibration activities, customer complaints and internal audits as required by the QMS (ISO/AS).

8) Review of all the mechanical drawings, from the QA perspective.

9) Engineering knowledge in mechanical manufacturing processes like machining, drilling, tapping, fabrication, casting, plating, heat treatment, etc. In addition to the above, preference will be given to experience in Defence sector.

10) Liaison with labs for regular calibration of measuring instruments.
