Position: Assistant Manager - SAP

Qualitfication: BE/ B Tech 

Required Certification: SAP (PP QM, MM, SD)

Experience Required: 5–7 years 

Industry Preference: Defence/Automotive/Mechanical/Aerospace

Job Responsibility:

Materials Management

• The candidate should have sound knowledge in the manufacturing industry & must have experience in technical support role & direct experience in SAP MM functional processes.
• Strong functional expertise in SAP MM covering Procurement, Inventory Management, Goods Movements, and Invoice Verification.
• Hands‑on experience in material master, vendor master, BOM, and other MM-related master data.
• Proficient in handling PO/PR processing, GRN, stock transfers, subcontracting, processes.
• Capability to troubleshoot MM module issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution within defined SLA.

Production & planning

• Sound understanding of manufacturing processes and their mapping in SAP PP
• Experience in production execution including Production Orders, confirmations, goods issue, and goods receipt
• Skill in managing PP master data: Work Centers, Routing, BOM, Production Versions, and Planning Strategies
• Experience in monitoring and improving PP cycle times through system-driven process improvements.
• Capability to troubleshoot PP module issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution within defined SLA.

Training & Documentation

• Providing job training and creating and updating business processes and implementing the same as per the best industrial practice support ground level operation issue

Reporting

• Shall be responsible for generating and sharing various reports to management with regards to BOM management and Master data management

Support

• Support all MM & PP entries well in time to be made in SAP to support smooth monthly, quarterly and periodic book closures

Desired Experience

• SAP practical knowledge on P2P, O2C, Production planning cycle, Quality cycle, Subcontracting processes, costing.
• Hands on experience in troubleshooting functional & technical errors.
• knowledge of PLM would be plus.
• Hands on experience in Implementation, Rollout & Support project
