Assistant Manager - E&E Validation

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  1. Execute validation activities in line with design specifications and customer usage patterns for electrical and electronic components, including Electronic LV Hardware and Wiring Harness, at the component, system, and vehicle level validations. This responsibility is pivotal in ensuring the overall reliability and performance of our products.
  2. Maintain and uphold equipment, resources, and lab facilities necessary for power electronics and electrical validation, ensuring they are compliant with industry standards and ready for regular use. This includes regular checks, maintenance schedules, and documentation.
  3. Verify and evaluate EV electrical interface logics and functions, ensuring compliance with customer usage conditions and RWUP (Real World Usage Profile) conditions. Adapt and adjust testing methodologies where necessary.
  4. Ensure knowledge of electronic and electrical components/system compliance with global standards, actively participating in regular training and development to stay updated with industry trends.
  5. Report all critical and non-critical issues to respective module leads and the Project CFT. Engage in issue investigation and root cause analysis utilizing quality control tools such as 8D, FTA, Why-Why Analysis, etc. Your insights will contribute significantly to continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Drive initiatives aimed at improving validation efficiency and output, promoting a conducive work environment for collaboration and innovation.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering is required. A master's degree in a related field is advantageous.
  • 4-6 years' experience in component and system level testing within the automotive sector is preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of testing methodologies and practical applications.
  • Deep knowledge of component, system, and vehicle validation processes, which includes both hardware and software aspects, ensuring a comprehensive approach to testing.

Industry Preferred

  • Experience in the automotive or related industries, with knowledge of electrical vehicle technologies and testing protocols, is highly valuable.
  • Preferably familiar with electric vehicle technology standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  1. B.E / B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  2. 4-6 years' experience in component and system level testing within the automotive field.
  3. In-depth understanding of testing protocols and regulatory requirements pertinent to automotive technologies.
  4. Ability to interpret DFMEA, architecture, and functional logic documentation to support the testing processes.

General Requirements

  1. Proficient understanding of Electronics and Electrical Component & System/Wiring Harness Validation, as well as EV Electrical interface logics and functions verification.
  2. Competency in coding, especially with C programming for operational testing rigs to enhance efficiency.
  3. Good grasp of the product development lifecycle, ensuring the validation processes align with overall project objectives.
  4. Familiarity with tools including CANALYZER, CANOE, ETAS, PCAN, Ipetronics, and IMC instruments for diagnostics and testing.
  5. Comprehensive knowledge of automotive standards including IS, AIS, ECE, ISO, and IEC.
  6. An understanding of the testing and component validation processes specific to electric and electronic systems.
  7. Adept at using quality tools and having an understanding of component level validation methodologies.
  8. Ability to interpret DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis), architectural designs, and functional logics for thorough validation.
