Overview

Join Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited as an Assistant Manager in Supply Chain Management (SCM), where you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient procurement, logistics, and inventory operations that support our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and manage procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely sourcing of materials and services crucial to manufacturing operations.
  2. Oversee logistics operations to guarantee smooth transportation, distribution, and delivery schedules aligning with production needs.
  3. Manage inventory control processes to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and support lean manufacturing principles.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers, to maintain strong communication channels and build effective partnerships.
  5. Conduct supplier visits as required to assess capabilities, quality standards, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  6. Utilize SAP MM module extensively to track procurement, manage inventory, and analyze data for continuous improvement.
  7. Analyze process engineering fundamentals and costing to identify opportunities for efficiency and expense reduction.
  8. Provide insights and reports using advanced Microsoft Office tools, leveraging data analysis to inform decision-making.
  9. Contribute to supply chain planning and cycle time optimization, actively engaging in cost management and resource allocation.
  10. Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies within supply chain activities.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations, preferably within the automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier industry.
  • Proven experience working in multinational corporations (MNC) is beneficial, enhancing understanding of global supply chain complexities.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong expertise in procurement, logistics, inventory management, stakeholder management, and overall supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Competency in process cycle time evaluation, cost analysis, and supply chain planning is highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP MM module and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for data analysis.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to supplier locations ensuring compliance and fostering strategic supplier relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute to cost-effective solutions.
