Assistant Manager - Vehicle Validation

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Vehicle Validation Engineer to support vehicle performance evaluation and validation activities. The role involves planning, executing, monitoring, and analyzing vehicle tests to ensure compliance with performance targets, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to validate vehicle performance attributes through test track, proving ground, and real-world usage evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting vehicle performance tests on prototype and production vehicles.
• Plan, execute, and monitor vehicle validation activities at test tracks and proving grounds.
• Prepare test vehicles and instrumentation before testing.
• Collect and record test data using data acquisition systems and sensors.
• Monitor critical test parameters during vehicle evaluations.
• Process, analyze, and interpret test data using engineering tools and software.
• Compare test results against engineering targets, specifications, and performance benchmarks.
• Identify performance deviations and support root cause analysis activities.
• Verify testing conditions and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Support vehicle performance assessments under Real World Usage Profile (RWUP) conditions.

Experience

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

B.E / B. Tech- Mechanical Engg / Automobile Engineering/ Mechatronics Engg/ Electrical & Electronics engineering 

General Requirements

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of vehicle dynamics and performance testing.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with vehicle validation processes and testing methodologies.
• Exposure to data acquisition systems and engineering analysis tools is an advantage.
