Role Overview
- Ablity to understand the Design inputs & Development activities for Battery pack design
- Able to understand the CAE results and able to Provide solutions
- Possess Material knowledge and Technical knowledge in manufacturing process
- Proficency in benchmarking of various manufacturing process
- Experience in PLM environment and its process
- Perform stackup analysis and ability to apply GD&T
- Ability to work with CFT for the design and developemnt activities
CATIA Competencies
- Core Modeling Skills: Proficiency in sketcher, part design (pad, pocket, shaft), and advanced surface modeling (surfacing techniques)
- Assembly Design: Creating complex assemblies, managing constraints, and using top-down or bottom-up design approaches
- Drafting & Annotation: Creating 2D engineering drawings, managing GD&T, and BOM creation
- Sheet Metal & Specialized Tools: Handling sheet metal design and, for higher-level proficiency, kinematic, and simulation tools
- Industry Application: Understanding industry-standard workflows in automotive, aerospace, and consumer goods to improve design quality and efficiency
Design knowledge Competencies
- Plastic part design: Understanding of injection molding fundamentals, Ability to maintain uniform wall thickness, Correct use of draft angles, fillets, radii Designing ribs, bosses, snap fits, hinges, Designing for tool direction & avoiding undercuts
- Sheet Metal part Design: Understanding of sheet metal rules (bend radius, K-factor), Flat pattern creation, Corner relief, hem, flanges and beads. Design for laser cutting / stamping / bending. Corrosion & coating allowances
- Aluminum Extrusion Design: Understanding of extrusion direction constraints, Uniform cross‑section design, Control of wall thickness & voids, Heat dissipation features. Corner radii for extrusion flow
- Al - PDC Design: Draft angles for die ejection. Uniform wall thickness & thick-to-thin transitions, Fillets, ribs, and gussets for strength. Avoiding hot spots (to prevent porosity). Designing proper flow channels, Bosses, mounting points and machined surfaces
