Deputy Manager - Costing

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Perform should costing for mechanical parts such as casting, forging, machining, and proprietary vehicle components.
• Map costed Bill of Materials (BOM) effectively to ensure accurate cost tracking and analysis.
• Manage and evaluate cost changes to maintain budget compliance and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and document BOM costs for new parts, concepts, assemblies, and redesigns.
• Benchmark competitor costs and provide actionable cost optimization suggestions to the design team.
• Conduct detailed profitability analysis and advise the project team on strategic make-or-buy decisions.
• Produce and deliver monthly material cost reports at both the vehicle and system levels.
