Deputy Manager - Dimensional Engineering

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Ability to create, edit, modify GD&T drawings for the sheet metal and trim parts. Coordinate all datum schemes (locator logic) and assembly.
• Perform 1D and 3d tolerance stack up studies, Identify Critical Characteristics and document on drawings, based on analytical results.
• Perform comparison studies of measured data versus objectives and GD&T specification MCR’s/Nom Shift/Tol Relief.
• Research and analyze data such as RSS, specifications, component tooling tolerances to determine design feasibility.
• Define and document quality goals (dimensional and functional) by developing quality objective targets on key product criteria.
• Check and approve final released GD&T components and assembly drawings , BIW drawings 
• Measurement point and fixture certification data generation.
• Responsible for obtaining dimensional requirements for interfacing parts to develop system level analyses.
• Work with inspection fixture suppliers to develop concepts, ensure fabrication of fixtures meet specifications and certify fixtures.
• Purchased parts – responsible to provide dimensional approval for tool texturing authorization.
• Participate in fit validation activities, root cause and define solutions.
• Work effectively in a team environment with a cross-functional team: design, tooling, CAE, quality, manufacturing.
• Preparation and validation of DTS documents
