Job Summary
We are looking for a Test Engineer – EV Systems & BMS with strong technical expertise and attention to detail. This role involves comprehensive testing and validation of electric vehicle systems, with a primary focus on Battery Management Systems (BMS), Vehicle Control Units (VCU), Motor Control Units (MCU), and other EV controllers. The position requires proficiency in developing Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments, automating test cases, and ensuring compliance with automotive standards. Your work will play a critical role in enhancing the reliability and safety of next-generation electric mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- EV System Analysis
- Validate functional behavior of EV systems including powertrain ECUs, VCU, BMS, MCU, and instrument clusters
- Battery & Vehicle System Expertise
- Understand battery functional requirements, vehicle specifications, and performance parameters for testing and validation
- HIL Environment Development
- Design, develop, and maintain HIL setups using Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio, CANoe.DiVa) and dSPACE platforms
- Integrate EV controllers into HIL systems for software testing and validation
- Requirement Analysis & Automation
- Translate system-level requirements into automated test cases
- Ensure complete traceability from requirements to test execution and defect tracking
- Test Case Development
- Develop and automate test cases for functional and regression testing based on system requirements
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, reports, issue logs, and best practices documentation
- Test Execution & Analysis
- Perform manual and automated tests on HIL systems for powertrain and EV software (VCU, MCU, BMS, Cluster)
- Analyze results, identify issues, and collaborate with development teams for debugging
- HIL Infrastructure Management
- Design and maintain scalable, reliable HIL infrastructure for EV system validation
- Tool Proficiency
- Utilize Vector tools for simulation, diagnostics, and automation
- Communication Protocols
- Work with CAN, CAN FD, UDS, and OBD protocols for diagnostics and communication testing
- Collaboration Across Lifecycle
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align testing activities with product and software development lifecycles
