Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented IVN & Diagnostics Test Engineer responsible for validating automotive communication networks and diagnostic functionalities across ECUs(BMS,VCU,MCU,IC,TGU,Charger). The role involves testing protocols like CAN and diagnostics such as UDS and OBD using industry-standard tools and setups (HiL/vehicle/bench).
Roles & Responsibility
- Validate in-vehicle communication protocols including CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet
- Perform diagnostics testing using UDS (ISO 14229), KWP protocols
- Design, develop, and execute test cases based on system and diagnostic requirements
- Independently develop, execute, and maintain CAPL scripts in CANoe for automation
- Build and enhance restbus simulations using CAPL scripting
- Use CANoe and CANalyzer for network simulation, trace analysis, and debugging
- Perform testing in HiL, bench, and vehicle environments
- Analyze CAN traces to identify communication and diagnostic issues
- Validate diagnostic services such as Read/Write DID, ECU Reset, Routine Control
- Implement CAPL-based test frameworks for regression and automated validation
- Validate DTC logging, aging, fault storage, and clearing mechanisms
- Perform ECU flashing and bootloader validation using diagnostic tools
- Ensure correct signal mapping and validate DBC files
- Execute network timing analysis and monitor bus load and performance
- Work independently on CAPL scripting tasks without supervision
- Debug and resolve issues through log analysis and CAPL-based simulations
- Ensure compliance with standards ISO 14229, ISO 15765, ISO 11898, and ISO 13400
- Prepare detailed test reports, automation reports, and defect logs
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve communication and diagnostics issues
- Continuously improve test automation frameworks and CAPL scripting efficiency
