Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
EMC Validation Planning & DVP Management
- Prepare Design Validation Plans (DVP) for component-level and vehicle-level EMC testing based on MLMM specifications and applicable global standards.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and validation documents aligned with Cross Functional Team (CFT) requirements.
- Coordinate with CFT stakeholders to review, finalize, and obtain sign-off for DVPs and validation documents.
Third-Party Laboratory Coordination
- Prepare and verify EMC test setups for third-party laboratory testing before test execution.
- Monitor testing activities and ensure adherence to approved test procedures.
- Collect and review EMC test data and results from external laboratories.
- Prepare EMC test reports as per organizational standards and internal reporting formats.
- Support issue resolution and corrective actions related to test failures.
Project Coordination & Logistics
- Coordinate Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO), and invoice closure activities with third-party laboratories and finance teams.
- Arrange logistics for shipment of components and vehicles to external laboratories through RGP clearance procedures.
- Ensure vehicles and test samples are dispatched and received as per project schedules.
- Travel to third-party laboratories and provide on-site support during EMC validation activities whenever required.
In-House EMC Testing Support
- Coordinate with internal design and development teams for the availability of components and test samples.
- Prepare EMC test setups and support execution of in-house component-level EMC tests under the guidance of senior team members.
- Maintain testing schedules and ensure timely completion of validation activities.
- Assist project teams in meeting EMC-related project deliverables within defined timelines.
EMC Laboratory Management
- Ensure regular maintenance and upkeep of the EMC laboratory at the Innovation Center.
- Verify RF instruments, receivers, and associated EMC test equipment.
EMC Compliance & Certification
- Participate in component and vehicle certification programs as a member of the EMC team.
- Support regulatory compliance activities in accordance with automotive EMC standards and homologation requirements.
- Review compliance requirements and ensure successful completion of certification activities.
EMC Design Review & Risk Analysis
- Evaluate wiring harness architecture and verify grounding and shielding principles for EMC compliance.
- Perform preliminary EMC risk analysis at component and vehicle levels using EMC analysis tools.
- Support EMC design compliance reviews, including schematic reviews, PCB layout reviews, harness routing reviews, and grounding strategies.
- Collaborate with design, hardware, software, and vehicle integration teams to address EMC concerns early in the development cycle.
EMC Simulation & Analysis
- Perform EMC simulations for Conducted Emission (CE) and Radiated Emission (RE) using CST Studio Suite.
- Interpret simulation results and recommend design improvements to achieve EMC compliance.
- Utilize CST EMC tools and LTspice for risk assessment, circuit analysis, and electromagnetic behavior prediction.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering
General Requirements
- Knowledge of automotive EMI/EMC standards, validation processes, compliance requirements, and homologation requirements.
- Understanding of EMC test methodologies including Conducted Emission (CE), Radiated Emission (RE), Conducted Susceptibility (CS), Radiated Susceptibility (RS), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Bulk Current Injection (BCI), and Transient Immunity Testing (Surge, EFT, Load Dump, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in EMC testing as per AIS 004 Part 3 Rev.1, with a strong understanding of test requirements, standards interpretation, and compliance assessment.
- Knowledge of automotive EMC standards such as CISPR 25, ISO 11452 Series, ISO 7637 Series, AIS 004 Part 3 Rev.1, ECE R10, and OEM-specific EMC requirements.
- Familiarity with EMC laboratory instruments, RF measurement techniques, and EMC test setup preparation.
- Hands-on experience in operating RF and EMC test equipment, including EMI Receivers, Oscilloscopes, Automotive LISNs, Signal Generators, Power Amplifiers, Pre-Amplifiers, Attenuators, and associated EMC test instruments.Experience working with third-party EMC test laboratories and coordinating validation and certification activities.
- Hands-on experience with CST Studio Suite for EMC simulation, analysis, and design validation.Experience using LTspice for circuit-level EMC analysis, simulation, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze EMC test results, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions for EMC compliance.Knowledge of wiring harness design, shielding, grounding, filtering techniques, and PCB layout practices for improved EMC performance.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in preparing technical reports, validation plans, compliance documents, test reports, and project presentations.Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
