Lead Engineer - BMS, iPDU & EVSE

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Key Tasks and Deliverables

  • Develop, debug, and optimize control algorithms for Battery Management Systems (BMS) in electric vehicles (EVs). 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of MATLAB models with system requirements. 
  • Contribute to system-level performance improvements through robust simulation processes using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow. 
  • Execute software development using the SW V-cycle process, ensuring accuracy and compliance in automotive applications.

Critical Must-Have Deliverables

  • Proficient debugging in MATLAB to identify issues and enhance system behavior. 
  • Hands-on review experience: Compare and align MATLAB models with system-level requirements. 
  • Develop software solutions tailored to BMS functionality for battery packs.

Good-to-Have Deliverables

  • Prior knowledge in battery pack algorithm development (advantageous for innovation in battery management strategies). 
  • Debugging code in C environment (valuable for hybrid systems or secondary projects).

Experience

  • Automotive Background: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow, specifically for BMS/battery pack applications. 
  • Proven experience in using software development methodologies like the SW V-cycle process. 
  • Debugging expertise (both system-level simulation and at S20C level).

  • Academic Qualification: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communication/Electronics Engineering (essential for domain expertise).

  • Functional Competencies: - Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow simulation and debugging.   - Ability to translate system requirements into functional MATLAB models. 
  • Tools and Techniques Used: - MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow (strong proficiency).   - C language debugging (good-to-have competence for secondary contributions). INCA
  • Behavioral Competencies: - Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve system-level issues.   - Collaboration and coordination abilities in cross-functional teams in automotive development projects.
