Lead Engineer - VCU

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1.  Perform calibration of Electric vehicle control system functions for performance, driving range
2. Responsible for Development of various features to improve Drivability , Range , Performance and perceived quality
3. Knowledge on performance and Range Simulation ,
4. lead VCU functional calibration .
5. Interact with system engineering team for requirement traceability, system architecture traceability, model traceability.
6.Perform Vehicle level simulations and calibration of functions related to Torque Path, driveability, thermal management, and energy management.
7. Subjective assessments and Objective measurements of Drivability and vehicle dynamics parameters
8. Calibration of Diagnostics and DSM management,
9. know how Coastdown measurement and Energy management principles
10.Simulation & Calibration of pedal map, creep control, adaptive cruise control, tip-in/tip-out, Acceleration, ABS/ESP Intervention, speed limitation, Torque limits at different test conditions
10.Coordinate with other departments such as architecture, software development & validation teams to ensure achievement of simulation and calibration goals.
11. Know how on Diagnostics protocols and implementation till production
12 .  able to use CAN tools like Vector CANoe, CAN analyzer , INCA
13, Able to perform Pre_homologation tests and support homologation activites

 

Experience

9 to 13 years

Industry Preferred

Automotive OEM R&D, TIER 1 System Design Houses (Bosch, Continental, Delphi, AVL,FEV etc.)

Qualifications

Graduate/Post Graduate in Electrical/Electronics/Automotive/Mechanical

General Requirements

Good Communication skills

Good Interpersonal Skills
Ability to work both independently and in teams

1] Ability to interface with teams from multiple domains - embedded software, battery management, traction control                                                                                                                                                                    2] Aware of automotive standards specific to vehicle perfomrace certification                                                                                                            
3] Analytical ability to create optimization methods and techniques

1] testing and validation of Electric vehicles
2] Must have overview of Vehicle compnents and its functionalities - Drivability, Performance , Range related
3. Calibration methodoogies and handson experience on calibrating any Vehicle function
