Role Overview
Guide POC development for power electronics and electrical systems for 3W & SCV EV platforms. Focus on interpreting designs from Design COE, understanding simulations, and directing efforts towards POC validation goals. Emphasis on frugal engineering and emerging market requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
A. Technology Exploration & Feasibility :
- Support technology exploration aligned with business strategy and EV roadmap.
- Conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analysis.
- Build and validate POC prototypes.
B. Design Interpretation & Simulation Understanding:
- Review and interpret power electronics designs from Design COE.
- Understand simulation models and results to guide POC direction.
- Provide inputs and feedback to Design COE for POC requirements.
C. Controller & Electrical Systems Awareness:
- Understand VCU, BMS architecture and system-level functions.
- Define I/O requirements and signal mapping for POC builds.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics.
D. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with SW, E&E, HW COE, and V&V teams.
- Provide POC-level requirements and review designs from COEs.
- Ensure seamless handover to Product Engineering.
E. Risk Mitigation & Validation:
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Progress concepts through TRL with simulation and bench testing.
F. Documentation & Handover:
- Prepare technical handover package with design rationale.
- Ensure technology readiness for project kick-off.
G. Innovation & Mentoring:
- Contribute to technical papers and patents (1–2 per year).
- Mentor junior engineers.
