Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

- To carry out New product development of BIW Panels / BIW Sub-Assy / Skin Panels / Tubular parts / Cradle Assy / Chassis / CCB as spec/drawings released by Engg. which includes:

a. Make detail development plan in-line to overall program master plan.
b. Bifurcate timeline as per build events like VP0, VP, PP, SOP.
c. RFI / RFQ verification with Vendors.
d. Evaluation of Quotes & Synthesis for techno commercial understanding and settlement.
e. FTG-Process Plan for development- including stamping & fixture process plan.
f. Sheet metal simulation using Autoform for process & result confirmation.
g. Review of tool / welding fixture / checking fixture design and provide clearance for manufacturing.
h. Identify development risk and map mitigation plan.
i. Identify quality plan for SC / CC / Critical to Quality of all new products.
j. Close co-ordination with Engg. team to provide input for manufacturing feasibilities.
k. Timely update on development progress to Program team time to time for management updates.
l. Involvement & solution proposal for in-production FTG concerns.
 

- Communicate & monitor supplier performance, through structural method.
- To visit Vendor & evaluate along with SQA.
- Tooling Buy off along with PED.
- PPAP for parts along with SQA.
- Cost reduction, VE projects initiation and implementation.
- Contribution to Quality council meeting to ensure continual improvement on cost, quality & delivery.
- DCRN & ECR/ECN execution

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

General Requirements

Should have good knowledge on 
- Stamping process planning & Fixture planning.
- Stamping simulation with Autoform for BIW & Skin panel parts.
- Simulation experience in Automotive Skin panels.
- Press Tool, Welding fixture & Gauge design concept.
- Press Tool & Fixture plant tryout & proving experience.
- GD&T application & Physical part verification.
- Coating process (CED / Powder coating)
- APQP Process knowledge.
- Vendor evaluation & risk mitigation
