Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Role Purpose
The role is responsible for leading vehicle and system-level certification and homologation activities in compliance with CMVR, AIS, IS, ECE, and other applicable automotive regulations. The incumbent will ensure timely certification approvals, coordinate with regulatory authorities and testing agencies, assess regulatory impacts on product development, and support organizational compliance objectives throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

- Lead vehicle, system, subsystem, and component certification activities in compliance with CMVR, AIS, IS, ECE, EEC, and other applicable regulations.
- Assess the certification impact of design and engineering changes and provide compliance guidance during product development.
- Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and define certification strategies for current and future vehicle programs.
- Develop and manage certification budgets, timelines, resource plans, and homologation schedules aligned with program milestones.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute development, pre-homologation, and final certification testing activities to achieve timely approvals.
- Prepare, review, and submit certification documentation, technical dossiers, compliance reports, and regulatory applications.
- Interface with certification authorities and testing agencies such as ARAI, iCAT, GARC, VRDE, VCA, IDIADA, and TUV to secure regulatory approvals.
- Support Conformity of Production (CoP) activities through compliance reviews, audit readiness, documentation, and cross-functional coordination with Manufacturing and Quality teams.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless execution of homologation activities.
- Lead and develop the certification team while upholding the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
General Requirements
- Strong understanding of automotive regulations, including CMVR, AIS, IS, ECE, and international homologation requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of whole vehicle certification and testing processes.
- Expertise in certification documentation and regulatory submissions.Experience working with certification and testing agencies.
- Strong project planning and execution capabilities.
- Good knowledge of test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and regulatory interpretation abilities.
- High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality.
