Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute vehicle-level validation plans for electrical, electronic, and HMI systems in accordance with specifications, DFMEA, and automotive standards.
  • Prepare DVPs, validation schedules, test cases, requirement traceability matrices, and validation reports.
  • Perform functional, integration, and vehicle-level validation of LV components including lighting systems, wiping systems, switches, sensors, and harnesses.
  • Analyze CAN data, vehicle logs, and test results to identify issues and perform root cause analysis using quality tools and methodologies.
  • Develop test setups, automate test systems as per requirements, execute validation activities, and release test reports.
  • Plan and execute harness validation activities, including vehicle architecture verification and EMI/EMC testing.
  • Coordinate with design, software, quality, homologation, supplier, and test laboratory teams to ensure timely completion of validation activities.
  • Track validation progress, drive issue resolution, and support product development to achieve quality, reliability, and zero-defect targets.
  • Utilize testing and diagnostic tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, BUSMASTER, Oscilloscope, Functional Generator, Electronic Loads, and Data Loggers for analysis and validation.
  • Support certification and homologation activities while providing technical leadership, independent decision-making, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Experience

9 to 12 years

Qualifications

B.E or M.E. Mechanical/Automobile Engineering

General Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience in HMI validation, including Accommodation & Usage attribute validation.

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in handling, operating, and utilizing various test instrumentation and data acquisition systems for validation activities.

  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and systems, including CANoe/CANalyzer (Vector), ETAS INCA for ECU measurement and calibration, NI (National Instruments) DAQ systems, dSPACE systems, SAE J826 Manikins, and Digital Anthropometric Manikins.
