Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Testing Lead to drive end-to-end vehicle validation and testing activities across the product development lifecycle. The role is critical in ensuring vehicle performance, reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction through comprehensive validation under real-world operating conditions.

As the validation owner, you will act as the key link between engineering, quality, manufacturing, and testing teams, ensuring that design intent is successfully translated into production-ready products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead end-to-end vehicle validation activities from concept to production and field feedback stages.
  • Participate in benchmarking, target setting, Digital Mock-Up (DMU) reviews, and validation planning.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive validation plans aligned with program milestones.
  • Coordinate and drive vehicle testing activities through internal teams and external agencies.
  • Identify, analyze, and escalate system-level issues, ensuring timely resolution through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Provide physical validation of vehicle performance, bridging the gap between simulation results and real-world usage.
  • Support Engineering Sign-Off (ESO) activities and program readiness reviews.
  • Contribute to production ramp-up support and field failure investigations.
  • Drive closure of validation concerns and ensure alignment between design, manufacturing, and quality functions.
  • Monitor validation risks, testing bottlenecks, and resource requirements to support successful program delivery.

Experience

6 to 9 years

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related disciplines

General Requirements

  • Deep understanding of vehicle validation processes and testing strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation, testing equipment, and data acquisition systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and drive issue resolution.Excellent planning, execution, and stakeholder management skills.
