Manager - NVH

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership in NVH: Lead end-to-end NVH simulation activities for full vehicle, Body-in-White (BIW), Trimmed BIW, electric powertrain (e-motor & transmission), battery pack, and electromechanical components, ensuring alignment with program targets and timelines
- Advanced FEA Model Development: Independently build, validate, and manage high-fidelity FEA models for complex assemblies including e-motor, transmission, battery pack, chassis, and full vehicle systems with minimal supervision
- NVH Analysis Execution: Proficiently perform:
- Frequency Response Analysis (FRA) — structural and acoustic
- Normal Mode / Modal Analysis (Free-Free & Fixed Boundary)
- Acoustic Cavity Analysis & Panel Contribution Analysis
- Transfer Path Analysis (TPA)
- Sound Package & Sensitivity Analysis
- Nonlinear Simulation Management: Lead and converge complex nonlinear simulations; diagnose solution instabilities and implement corrective modeling strategies
- Fatigue & Durability Integration: Collaborate closely with durability teams to integrate NVH-related fatigue loads; provide simulation-backed countermeasures grounded in proven engineering experience
- Correlation & Validation: Lead CAE-to-test correlation activities; work closely with test teams to validate simulation models against physical measurements (accelerometer data, sound pressure levels, etc.) and continuously improve model accuracy
- Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Lead technical discussions with Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers; ensure timely closure of NVH-related open points, design changes, and supplier deliverables
- Cross-Functional Collaboration (CFT): Actively participate in project-level design reviews, FMEA sessions, and gate reviews. Collaborate effectively with Vehicle Dynamics, Thermal, Structures, and Manufacturing teams to deliver balanced, integrated solutions
Technical Competencies
a. Expert in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural dynamics
b. Strong fundamentals in Strength of Materials, Vibrations, and Acoustics
c. Proficiency in electric motor & transmission working principles
d. Sound understanding of automotive durability and NVH test methodologies
e. Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP, and APQP processes
