Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Oversee the monitoring and analysis of customer complaints and warranty claims specific to Electric Vehicle (EV) components, including Motor, Battery Management System (BMS), Charger, Motor Control Unit (MCU), DC-DC converters, Telematic systems, and Battery packs. Identify root causes for failures and coordinate prompt Interim and Permanent Corrective Actions to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reducing critical customer complaints and lowering warranty costs by collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Perform and supervise Reliability Growth Analysis (RGA) based on real-world usage data during new model development phases. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve identified issues, aiming to improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and overall product reliability ahead of launch timelines.
- Manage seeding batches for critical modifications in existing products or parts, tracking failure rates in the field to ensure sustained product quality and performance.
- Work jointly with Manufacturing and Supplier Quality teams to maintain and enhance quality levels by introducing targeted checkpoints based on emerging failure modes and conducting ongoing sustenance audits to verify quality compliance.
- Compile and analyze "lessons learned" from past failures, customer feedback, and competitor benchmarking data to inform Engineering teams for integration into new model designs and process improvements.
- Plan and execute on-site dealer visits to gather in-depth customer insights, deliver technical training to field service teams on latest updates and warranty claim reversal procedures, thereby improving first-time fix rates and customer experience.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation and reports on quality trends, corrective actions, and project progress to share with senior leadership and cross-functional teams for transparency and continuous feedback.
Experience
The ideal candidate will bring a robust 5 to 10 years of experience in the automobile industry, with a strong emphasis on electric vehicle systems and components. Experience should include hands-on involvement in quality assurance, warranty analysis, root cause investigation, and cross-functional project management within the EV sector. Practical knowledge of reliability growth analysis techniques and familiarity with automotive quality standards, such as IATF 16949, will be advantageous.
Experience in driving supplier quality improvement initiatives and collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to enhance product lifecycle reliability is essential. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coupled with analytical skills to interpret complex data sets, is highly desired.
Industry Preferred
Preferred industry background includes Electric Vehicle (EV) automobile manufacturing or Tier-1 automotive supplier environments specializing in EV components. Candidates with direct exposure to new EV model launches, battery systems, electric drivetrain components, or telematics systems will find themselves well-suited for this role.
Experience within companies focused on last mile mobility solutions or sustainable transportation technologies is considered a significant asset, given the company’s strategic focus.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, preferably in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering disciplines. Advanced certifications or training related to automotive quality management, reliability engineering, or electric vehicle technologies will be highly regarded.
Knowledge of quality management systems, root cause analysis tools (such as 8D, FMEA, Fishbone diagrams), and vehicle architecture specific to electric vehicles will support success in this position.

While travel is not required, occasional participation in virtual meetings across different time zones may be necessary.
