Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Roles & Responsibilities (DH- Band)
| Finance | • Develop Annual, Quarterly sales budget basis the input received from the teams and in consultation with CEO, on crops, cropping pattern, season & Product category to ensure profitability. • Responsible for the P&L of the centre by ensuring effective pricing, introduction of schemes, CD outflow, provisioning and Inventory carrying cost. • Deciding the spends on office, people travel, logistics, office expenditure, etc., •. Optimising the spends on Market promotion activities and FDO appointment • Develop a 3-5 years long-term strategy for the Profit Centre • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or service changes; surveying farmer needs and market trends; tracking competitors |
| Customer | • Responsible for overall Distributor engagement by impacting the below key areas:Defining the distributor category • Designing of distributor engagement activities and ensuring implementation • Developing strong atleast 1-2 distributors in every territory • Building long term good relationships with all the key distributors • Keep the Distributor churn ratio under check • Collect market intel of various areas from time-to-time • Ensuring priroty service to key channel partners •Carry out monthly planning for key channel partners, review the plan and take corrective actions if required |
| Process | • Strengthening the Sales Processes and ensuring the processes are executed well by everyone • Identifying the areas where the sales processes can be improved on continuous basis. • Make proposals to CEO for change/introduction of system capability, increasing the process standards, reducing the TAT, etc., from time to time for building more efficient process and systems • Conducting small sessions to educate and train the TMs and RMs and bring about universal standard practice on the sales processes • Conduct benchmarking study to under the industry practice of different processes. • Ensure resolution of inventory and stock availability issues from the regions • Meticulously plan, drive, execute and review collections as per the policy to reduce the debtor daysExplore the possibilities of working with other Mahindra Agri Businesses to create synergies and multiplier effects in the region. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, half yearly & annual sales plan for the centre as per the business guidelines with major focus on Gold Category product to Improve profitability of the Region |
| People | • Interview and select the right candidate for the role. • Develop strong team (TMs and FDOs) by providing requisite training on agronomy, product, sales process and techniques and crops • Provide direction, review performance and give Constructive feedback on opportunity and strength areas to achieve the business targets • Taking measures for ring fencing the key talent • Conducting Skip Level Interviews on period basis to understand the challenges faced by team and assist in resolving it. • Creating Leadership pipeline of key talents in the team • Ensure there is nil or minimal attrition in the team |
Experience
Minimum 15 years of experience in Sales in agrochemical industry
Industry Preferred
Agro-Chemical Industry
Qualifications
M.sc in Agri
