Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Key Tasks and Deliverables

  • Define vision and roadmap for System Architecture & Requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational EV strategy.
  • Lead system-level requirements engineering for powertrain components (VCU, BMS, MCU, IPDU) with full traceability and compliance.
  • Develop scalable, modular system architecture covering functional features, E&E architecture, and network communication.
  • Ensure ISO 26262 compliance and conduct System FMEA for safety-critical systems.
  • Establish ASPICE-compliant processes for software development and system engineering.
  • Drive innovation and technology roadmap for emerging EV technologies and advanced features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers for technical alignment and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee system integration, validation, and continuous improvement across concept-to-launch phases.
  • Mentor engineering teams and build technical leadership pipeline.

Critical Must-Have Deliverables

  • Successful definition and management of system-level requirements with measurable KPIs (clarity score, defect reduction).
  • Delivery of ISO 26262-compliant architecture and ASPICE process governance.
  • Integration and validation of EV systems ensuring functional safety and performance.
  • Leadership in competency development and stakeholder alignment across global teams.

Good-to-Have Deliverables

  • Implementation of advanced ADAS and Active Safety features for commercial vehicles.
  • Contribution to legislative compliance for Active Safety & ADAS systems (effective Oct 2026).
  • Strategic partnerships with technology providers and EV startups for innovation acceleration.

Experience

  • 17+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering, including leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in EV system architecture, integration, and functional safety.
  • Experience managing teams of 10–15 engineers in high-complexity projects.

Industry Preferred

  • Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers specializing in EV platforms and advanced safety systems.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Applied Electronics, or Power Electronics (IIT or equivalent preferred).

Functional Competencies
  • Expertise in EV systems engineering, architecture design, and integration.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and modeling tools (MATLAB, Enterprise Architect).
  • Strong knowledge of EV drive components, BMS, CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, AUTOSAR.
  • Proficiency in embedded systems fundamentals and V-Cycle development processes.
Tools and Techniques Used
  • MATLAB, Enterprise Architect, ASPICE frameworks, ISO 26262 compliance tools.
