Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1. Key Tasks and Deliverables
- Develop, execute, and maintain HIL test cases, test procedures, and automated test scripts aligned to system and software requirements
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of Automotive ECUs using HIL setups
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root‑cause analysis and closure
- Collaborate with system, software, and validation teams to ensure end‑to‑end requirement coverage
- Prepare clear test reports, traceability matrices, and validation evidence for internal and customer audits
2. Critical Must-Have Deliverables
- Execution of HIL-based validation for Automotive ECUs with high test coverage and quality
- Development of robust automated test scripts using Python and/or CAPL
- Successful validation of vehicle communication and diagnostic functionalities
- Timely defect identification, documentation, and support through resolution
3. Good-to-Have Deliverables
- Optimization of HIL test setups and reusability of test frameworks
- Support for SIL/MIL validation activities when required
- Exposure to compliance or customer‑specific validation requirements
Experience
- 3–7 years of hands‑on experience in HIL testing within the Automotive domain
- Strong experience in understanding system requirements and translating them into test artifacts
- Hands‑on experience with ETAS test benches or strong working knowledge of equivalent HIL platforms
- Experience in ECU‑level software and hardware debugging
Industry Preferred
Automotive OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliersElectric Vehicle (EV) and Powertrain validation programs
Qualifications
- B.E / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering
- Master’s degree in the above domains is an added advantage

- Vector tools: CANoe, CANalyzer
- Calibration & measurement: INCA

- Programming/Scripting: Python, CAPL
- Protocols: CAN, LIN, CAN FD
- Diagnostics: UDS, OBD
- Experience validating EV Powertrain ECUs such as BMS, VCU, IPDU, MCU
