Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Manager to lead the design and development of Interior, Exterior, Trims, and Seat systems for next-generation Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). The role is responsible for driving system and component development from benchmarking and concept creation through detailed design, packaging, integration, validation, and production readiness.
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities to guide a high-performing engineering team, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure delivery of innovative, manufacturable, cost-effective, and high-quality vehicle systems.
Roles and responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Interior, Exterior, Trim, and Seat systems for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), from concept definition through production release.
- Drive benchmarking activities, technical feasibility studies, system packaging, integration, and detailed engineering design of vehicle components.
- Develop master sections, design concepts, and detailed 3D parametric models using CATIA V5 across pre-development and series production phases.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to define and validate SOR, DVP, DFMEA, homologation, and quality requirements.
- Evaluate and optimize design concepts by balancing manufacturability, serviceability, cost, quality, performance, and project timelines.
- Perform interface studies, DMU analysis, and packaging assessments to identify and resolve integration challenges.
- Prepare, review, and maintain engineering quality documentation including Benchmarking Reports, Design Concept Sheets (DCS), GD&T, DFMEA, DFMA, DFSS, DFS&R, and DVP&R.
- Support prototype builds, vehicle integration activities, and production validation while ensuring timely resolution of engineering issues.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and FTA.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, ensuring delivery of project objectives and adherence to quality standards.
- Build and maintain comprehensive benchmarking databases and leverage industry insights to enhance product competitiveness and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, automotive standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations throughout the product development lifecycle.

Qualifications
General Requirements
- Strong expertise in automotive Interior, Exterior, Trim, and Seat system design and development.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 and Teamcenter/PDM systems.Sound knowledge of engineering materials, plastics, composites, lightweight structures, and associated manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, DFMEA, DFMA, DFSS, DFS&R, DVP&R, and Design Quality Assurance practices.
- Knowledge of global automotive standards and regulations such as SAE, ISO, IEC, AIS, FMVSS, UN, and VDA.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with a focus on quality, cost, manufacturability, and timeline adherence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), vehicle integration, and electrical architecture is preferred.
