Assistant Manager - Process Engineering & Simulation

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Product feasibility and Process Flow analysis and study for vehicle assembly and feed back to Rand D. Simulation through Delmia/Tools configuration finalization. 
Assembly process planning of Trims, chassis and final assembly in digital manufacturing. 
Assembly fixture design, designing small tools using concept knowledge and sequence. 
Integrating respective functional area (Vehicle Assembly) for a project. 
Implementing Global Manufacturing Strategies especially BOP and BOE. 
Providing functional area deliverables including respective Manufacturing process. 
Identification and resolution of issues. Ensuring implementation of Process Driven Product Designs (Manufacturing Requirements) and manufacturable parts. 
Preparing the manufacturing Strategy for the New product development. 
Basic budgeting based on Product assumptions and Process Synergies. 
Understanding of the New Product based on PALS and PDB. 
Conducting simulation studies to give a real time feedback to Designers. 
Conducting Virtual builds to check the issues upfront and provide feedback to designers. 
Lead role in Develop and Establish the Process planning, documentation and process sheets preparation. 
Ensuring the Digitalisation and Standardisation of all the Project Activities. 
Developing Line and lineside Logistics layout. 
Addressing manufacturing concerns by Establishing Ergonomics standards. 
RFQ/Scope Preparation and Supplier Technical evaluation for Tools and Small fixtures. 
Installation and commissioning of equipment   with punch item list and without missing the Project Timelines. 
Coordinate with supplier and Plant (Customer) for eliminating new equipment   installation and commissioning Issues. 
Supports production department for day to day activites and smooth implementation of Installed Equipment   and processes. 
Should be flexible for implementation of project at multiple plant locations. 
Manufacturing feasibility study for new product requirements in existing facilities. 
Do simulataneous Engineering study, develop station plan, process sheets and build line layout for new product development. 
Prepare process plan with equipment requirements Select and Validate the same in conjunction with equipment team. 
Benchmarking BIW product, Body Shop processes and FTGs with engineering design and equipment   team. 
New product planning - Facility, tools, gauges and fixtures, procurement and implementation Study to Sweat existing equipment to maximum. 
Work out budget for equipment  and related civil/utility requirement. 
Adaptation of new product in existing facilities with Equipment  enhancements for introduction of new models and variants. Study the process and product requirements and Guide others in selecting the right equipment based on requirements. 
Interacting with teams and facilitate lesson learnt sessions for ongoing and concluded projects and take action accordingly for RFQ preparations. 
Lead team members to create check sheets for Design, approval and buyoff of fixtures.
