Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As the DGM of Supplier Quality Engineering at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will be pivotal in ensuring that valuable lessons learned from various product families are communicated effectively to the platform team, including the Centre of Excellence (COE) and the Centre of Development and Manufacturing (CDMM). Your role will involve supporting new product development by engaging early in the product development process, completing joint Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities with CDMM, and driving collaborative efforts with suppliers aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes.
In this position, you will also undertake a systematic approach to monitor supplier performance through rigorous measurement protocols, supplier audits, and managing Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR). Your leadership will be instrumental in developing and implementing process standards for managing supplier relationships effectively. This includes conducting thorough evaluations of supplier products and services, actively monitoring performance improvements, and elevating the technical capabilities of vendors through training and knowledge enhancements.
You will conduct comprehensive analysis and reviews stemming from quality audits conducted across all operational sites. As a leader, you will assume the responsibility of managing your team, encompassing recruitment, goal setting, and performance appraisals. It will be your duty to ensure clarity in roles and responsibilities while facilitating the ongoing development of your team members through structured learning and job rotation opportunities.

To be considered for the role, candidates should possess one of the following qualifications:
- Diploma in Engineering
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)
- Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical

- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical
In addition to formal education, applicants are expected to have a strong understanding of the engineering and manufacturing principles relevant to the automotive industry.
General Experience
Candidates should exhibit extensive experience, with a background in mechanical engineering preferred. We seek individuals with:
- A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 15 to 20 years of industry experience.
- A Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering with 12 to 15 years of relevant expertise.
Your breadth of experience should encompass a history of engaging with suppliers in quality engineering roles, as well as demonstrable involvement in product development initiatives.

- Proficiency in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and its applications.
