Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Production Management

Monitor and control Body Shop production activities to achieve daily production targets.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and takt time requirements.
Minimize downtime and improve line efficiency.
Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Logistics teams for uninterrupted operations.

Quality Assurance

Ensure compliance with BIW dimensional and welding quality standards.
Monitor critical quality parameters and take corrective actions.
Analyze quality defects and implement root cause countermeasures.
Support customer audit and internal quality audit activities.

Process & Equipment Monitoring

Monitor robotic welding systems, spot welding guns, fixtures, conveyors, and automated equipment.
Ensure equipment utilization and process capability.
Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to EHS standards and safe work practices.
Conduct daily safety inspections and toolbox talks.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective measures.
Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Continuous Improvement

Drive Kaizen, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Cost Reduction initiatives.
Implement productivity and quality improvement projects.
Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, and process optimization activities.
Reduce rework, rejection, and consumable costs.
Manpower Management
- Supervise operators and team leaders on the shop floor.
- Allocate manpower as per production requirements.
- Conduct skill development and training programs.
- Monitor discipline, attendance, and performance of shift manpower.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare shift production reports and KPI dashboards.
- Track OEE, FPY, Productivity, Rejection, and Downtime.
- Maintain production records and process documentation.
- Participate in management reviews and production meetings.

Experience

4-8 years of relevant Work Experience
