Education Qualification

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree specialising in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering, equipping candidates with foundational knowledge essential for managing complex manufacturing equipment.
  • Alternatively, a Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production disciplines may be considered, with a strong preference for candidates demonstrating substantial practical expertise and technical acumen.
  • Additional qualifications in Tool & Die Technology or Die Design through diploma programs will be highly regarded, reflecting specialised skills pertinent to tooling and equipment calibration.
  • Educational background should be complemented by relevant coursework or certifications in maintenance management, quality control, or project management to enhance the candidate’s capability to oversee equipment lifecycle and project execution efficiently.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development is encouraged, with opportunities for advanced training in automation technologies, safety standards, and emerging manufacturing practices within the automotive and manufacturing sectors.

General Experience

Applicants should possess between 4 to 8 years of substantive experience in industrial environments, specifically within Stamping, Tool & Die operations, or Plant Engineering. This period should demonstrate progressive responsibilities and hands-on involvement with the management and optimisation of manufacturing equipment and systems.

Experience in the automobile or manufacturing industry is highly advantageous, due to the specific demands and technical requirements characteristic of these sectors. Familiarity with automotive production lines, equipment installation, and plant maintenance protocols will contribute significantly to job success.

The candidate is expected to have a robust understanding of equipment evaluation, risk assessment methodologies such as PFMEA and MFMEA, and practical implementation of maintenance strategies to enhance production uptime and quality.

Proven capability in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, supplier engagement, and project management across multiple locations is essential, supported by experience in travelling and adapting to varying plant environments.

A track record of applying cross-functional engineering knowledge—including aspects of civil engineering, electrical systems, and automation technologies—to resolve complex technical challenges will be considered an asset.

The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to sustaining high standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence within a dynamic manufacturing setting.
