Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Your primary responsibility will be the monitoring and data analysis aimed at driving reductions in Key Performance Indicators such as R/1000, CPU, and Aggregate Replacement for Transmission Motors and Battery Packs. You will take the lead in identifying areas for improvement, ensuring that proactive strategies are implemented.
Your role will require you to prioritize and resolve Field and Internal issues by effectively deploying initiatives and ensuring customer protection. You will be expected to act as a point of contact and provide support in guiding the resolution of field concerns in a timely manner.
You should possess a working knowledge of diagnostic tools to analyse Battery Packs, Motor Transmissions, and Vehicle performance. This expertise will aid you in troubleshooting and enhancing operational efficiency.
Regular coordination with various internal functions including SQE, MQQA, Manufacturing, MRV, and Customer Care is essential to ensure a swift resolution and closure of concerns, thereby maintaining our commitment to quality.
You will also be expected to visit vehicle plants and field sites to gain insights into product issues, understand customer expectations, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to plan necessary improvements.
Conducting joint investigations at dealerships or supplier locations to analyse field failures is a key part of the role, requiring thorough documentation and reporting.
Your analysis will involve studying component designs and preparing proposals aimed at enhancing design robustness to prevent field failures, ensuring a high standard of product integrity.
Preparation of Management Information System (MIS) reports, dashboards, PowerPoint presentations, and cost impact approvals, along with field intervention documents for senior management will also fall under your remit.
A working knowledge of SAP for Warranty Claims administration will be necessary. You will maintain accurate records of warranty return parts and generate reports on warranty recovery, ensuring confidentiality is upheld.
Finally, you will provide functional guidance to your team, promoting quality functional excellence and implementing a structured problem-solving approach to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.

Experience

A successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a relevant field, specifically related to Battery Pack technologies. Experience with vehicles is advantageous and will enhance your capabilities in this dynamic role.

Industry Preferred

Industry experience in sectors such as automotive engineering, battery technology, and quality assurance will be preferred. You should be familiar with the latest advancements in battery solutions and their applications in modern vehicles.

Familiarity with industry standards and benchmarks for product performance and safety will be advantageous and is expected in this role to maintain the company's commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

The ideal qualification for this role is a graduate degree in Engineering, specifically in Mechanical, Automobile, or Electrical disciplines. This educational background provides the fundamental knowledge necessary to excel in advanced engineering environments.

General Requirements

Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of battery manufacturing and quality assurance processes, along with familiarity with various quality systems. Strong decision-making capabilities and a high analytical ability are essential. Hands-on experience with battery-related problem-solving techniques, as well as experience in resolving field issues, will be highly regarded. Furthermore, you should exhibit proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing E Motor and transmission systems.
