Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Supplier Development & Technical Readiness
- Lead supplier technical assessments for electrical/electronic parts during sourcing and nomination phases.
- Support technical sign-off of supplier manufacturing processes, test capabilities, and product validation per design and architecture requirements.
- Ensure supplier design and development processes align with ASPICE and ISO 26262 (where applicable).
- Validate supplier software and hardware integration into overall system architecture in collaboration with system and design engineers.
- Participate in design reviews, D-FMEA, and S-FMEA reviews with suppliers.
Project & Launch Support
- Drive supplier readiness for new program launches, including PPAP, APQP milestones, and Run@Rate.
- Conduct process audits (VDA 6.3, IATF 16949), capability studies, and ensure compliance with automotive-specific standards (IPC, AEC-Q100/Q200, etc.).
- Review and approve supplier control plans, test reports, traceability systems, and component validation.
- Collaborate with system architects and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of supplier components into vehicle platforms.
Quality & Problem Resolution
- Be the first technical escalation point for plant quality concerns related to E&E components.
- Lead root cause analysis and 8D closure for supplier-related quality incidents in production and warranty.
- Monitor supplier performance via KPIs (PPM, first-time pass, OEE, audit scores) and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Ensure effective containment, corrective action, and recurrence prevention at the supplier end.
- Support requalification and revalidation activities due to engineering changes, process changes, or quality issues
Experience
7 –9 years of experience in supplier quality, STA, or component engineering in the automotive E&E domain.

B.E or B.Tech
General Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of Machines / manufacturing processes in PCB/PCBA ( SMT Front and Back End),Traction motor Connectors,/ assembly Functional testing and Diagnostic Coverage.
- Familiarity with:
- IPC Standards
- ISO 26262 (Functional Safety)
- Automotive network protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
- System architecture and software architecture understanding
- EMI/ EMC compliance
- CQI Assessment
- Embedded chipsets applications and know how
- USACR / LV/ IEC standards for connectors/ Harness assembly
- Proficient in quality core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, Control Plans.
- Experience with VDA 6.3 auditing (certification is a plus).
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional issues across engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing.
- Willingness to travel to supplier and plant locations.
