Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Expertise in automotive LV and HV wiring harness and cable systems:
1. Provide support and active involvement in new product development of LV and HV wiring harnesses by identifying and driving quality improvements through early engagement in the product development process and ensuring timely completion of joint PPAP activities.
2. Drive effective collaboration with wiring harness suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, process capability, and product quality.
3. Monitor supplier performance through supplier quality KPIs, conduct supplier audits, and ensure effective closure of Supplier Corrective Action Plans (SCAP), G8D / 8D, and related quality concerns.
4. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Purchase, Supplier Development, Plant Quality) to address quality issues and ensure alignment with overall project and launch objectives.
5. Ensure lessons learned from LV/HV wiring harness families (connectors, terminals, crimping, routing, protection, fixation, testing) are captured and shared with the platform and project teams as inputs for prevention of known issues in new product development.
6. Daily work management including daily concern status tracking, timely analysis and escalation of critical issues, and monthly supplier performance monitoring and reporting.
Develop and Ensure Implementation of Systems at Supplier End:
1. Conduct supplier system, process, and product audits for LV/HV wiring harnesses and verify compliance with drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
2. Investigate and resolve quality‑related issues in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams using a systematic approach and structured problem‑solving tools such as G8D, 8D, 5‑Why, Six Sigma, and QC Story.
3. Evaluate supplier performance regularly and monitor improvement plans by enhancing supplier technical capability, process robustness, quality systems, and knowledge levels.
