Deputy Manager - Security (MT Chakan)

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Security Planning and Management: Develop and implement comprehensive security plans, policies and procedures to protect the Production Unit and Mahindra Tower. Perform regular risk assessments and security audits to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.

2. Personnel Management: Recruit, train and supervise security staff, ensuring effective coverage and adherence to security protocols. Conduct regular training sessions on emergency response, security drills and security awareness.

3. Access Control: Implement and maintain access control systems, ensuring that only authorised personnel enter restricted areas. Manage visitor access, ensuring proper identification and maintenance procedures are followed.

4. Surveillance and Monitoring: Oversee the installation, maintenance and operation of surveillance systems (CCTV). Monitor surveillance feeds and respond promptly to any suspicious activity.

5. Incident Response: Lead the response to security incidents, including theft, vandalism and emergencies. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.

6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of security incidents, violations and corrective actions taken. Prepare and submit security reports to senior management.

7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state and federal security regulations and industry standards. Stay updated on the latest security technologies and practices.

8. Laisoning with local police & authorities.

Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in a security management role, preferably in the manufacturing or automotive sector.

Industry Preferred

A background in security within the following industries is highly desirable to align with the operational needs and security challenges encountered at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd:

  • Industrial Parks and Commercial Complexes
  • Facilities Management with Emphasis on Security Systems

Experience in industries with stringent regulatory and safety standards will be advantageous, providing insights into risk management and security compliance within complex operational settings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in security management, or related field and Retired/VRS Defence Officer
