Deputy Manager - Suspension

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Design and develop suspension systems for SCV platforms (Independent & Dependent).
  • Deliver suspension systems in line with QCDW requirements.
  • Create suspension concepts, mountings, and ensure integration with chassis and axle systems.
  • Define system-level targets and lead DFMEA, DVP creation, and compliance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective design solutions.
  • Collaborate with CAE/MBD, CDMM, and Validation teams for concept evaluation and design maturity.
  • Coordinate with prototype and testing teams for concept build, fitment, and validation.
  • Participate in field evaluations, data collection, and benchmarking activities.
  • Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) through PLM systems.

Experience

  • 3–6 years in automotive suspension design and development

Industry Preferred

  • Tata Motors
  • Ashok Leyland
  • Force Motors
  • Other Automotive OEMs engaged in suspension design and development

Qualifications

B.E / B. Tech Electrical and Electronics engineering; MS/MTech is added advantage

General Requirements

  • Functional
  • Strong understanding of suspension system design and vehicle dynamics.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal and cast component design.
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5; understanding of DFA, DFS, DFM, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up.
  • Ability to interpret vehicle-level interfaces and resolve packaging conflicts.
  • Experience with PLM tools for BOM creation and part release.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA, design review methodologies, and DVP creation.
  • Strong command over 7 QC tools and structured problem-solving methodologies
  • CATIA V5
  • 3DX / PLM environment
