Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Specialist focused on the Wheels and Tyres aggregate to join our dynamic automotive team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automotive engineering with specific expertise in the design, testing, and optimization of wheel and tyre aggregate. This role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance performance, safety, and durability of wheels and tyres in our vehicle lineup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Lead the design and development of Alloy & Steel wheel and tyres, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Testing and Validation: Finalisation of performance & durability DVP. RWUP data analysis. 8D preparation for failure resolution.
• Tyres Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate Rims & Tyres for Commercial vehicles based on standards like ITTAC, ETRTO, TRA etc
• Project Management: Timeline and activity tracking along with supplier and internal CFT.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance to ensure seamless delivery.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant industry standards and regulations, ensuring all designs comply with necessary guidelines.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to wheel and tyre performance, warranty, and customer feedback.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Wheel rims and tyres aggregates.
• Should have knowledge of Tyres and Rim standards like ITTAC, ETRTO.

Experience

4-5 years of experience in automotive engineering with a focus on wheels and tyres

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or a related field.

General Requirements

• Strong understanding of wheel and tyre materials, manufacturing processes, and performance characteristics.
• Proficiency in CAD software (such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Testing and validation know how for Tyres and wheel rims.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
