Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1. Field Quality & Failure Resolution
- Own resolution of critical field issues across vehicle systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Powertrain).
- Drive structured root cause analysis through joint investigations with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Establish robust failure diagnostics, benchmarking, and corrective action frameworks.
- Lead in management reviews (Quality council) for update to senior management.
2. Technical Leadership & System Expertise
- Provide strategic technical direction on vehicle systems, diagnostics, and failure modes.
- Ensure integration of mechanical, electronic, and software systems for end-to-end vehicle performance.
- Build advanced capabilities in diagnostics, measurement techniques, and validation tools.
3. Cross Functional Integration
- Collaborate with PD , Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Service, and Program teams for issue resolution and design improvements.
- Lead joint investigations and represent the function in customer reviews, audits, and escalations.
- Drive horizontal deployment of learnings across platforms and vehicle programs.
4. Product Improvement & Feedback Loop
- Translate field insights into actionable design improvements and robustness enhancements.
- Influence product development through participation in design reviews and validation sign-offs.
- Drive continuous improvement in reliability, serviceability, and customer satisfaction.
5. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing technical team across sub-domains.
- Develop capability in diagnostics, validation, and system engineering across levels.
- Foster a culture of quality, ownership, and customer-first mindset.

- Reduction in field failure rates and improved customer satisfaction
- Faster closure of field issues with robust root cause identification
- Develop ICA and PCA for field solution aligned to field concerns resolution timelines
- Strong feedback loop driving product reliability improvement
- Capability development across validation and diagnostic domains

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
General Experience
15+ years in Quality Assurance in Passenger Car and Small Commercial Vehicle segment
Critical Experience
Exposure in Quality Management System deployment through structured product, process and Component Audit at PU/Plant level.Experience of Quality Assurance function and Exposure to manufacturing processes.Prior experience of handling CQA Head role for large plant like Nashik/ Chakan.Prior experience first time right launches in automotive passenger/commercial vehicle segments or Powertrain products.Experience of leading a medium to large sized team
