Lead Engineer

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Vehicle calibration Engineer with base knowledge of Heavy Duty commercial vehicle applications
  • Analysis skill for vehicle operations, driveability, & performance of vehicles, evaluation of Fuel Economy etc.
    Calibration verification & analysis skills
  • Assessment and documentation of test results and delivery of calibrations.
  • Creation of technical development reports for status of the completed calibration tasks
  • Interaction with FIE, TC, after treatment suppliers and other emission hardware suppliers
  • Evaluate OBD monitoring strategies and perform calibration of different monitors
  • Handles multiple analytical tools / softwares like AVL CONCERTO, INCA, PUMA
  • Provides good understanding of heavy duty diesel emissions BS6.1 & 6.2 regulatory requirements including diagnostics

Experience

6 to 8 years

Industry Preferred

Automotive OEM, Engine Consultancy like AVL, Bosch etc., FIE supplier.

Qualifications

BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech (Mechanical/Automobile)

Functional Skills:

Diesel Engine combustion development.
Base engine calibration and aftertreatment calibration (especially SCR & DPF)
Vehicle level calibration.
Hands on experience in INCA, Concerto, Cameo.
Dataset management
Performance & emission development skills in diesel engines
Knowledge in emission norms.
Knowledge in aftertreatment systems.
Communication and presentation skills
Data Analysis and report preparation
Test bed planning and execution
