Job Summary
The Plant Lead is responsible for overall manufacturing stability, quality performance and build readiness of the assigned plant. The role acts as the plant SPOC for VES CDMM team, ensures zero production loss, and drives continuous improvement on delivery excellence in collaboration with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Key Responsibilities
- Act as single point of accountability for plant-related issues
- Provide leadership during production escalations, line stoppages, and quality crises
- Drive a culture of problem-solving
- Drive closure of:
A) Internal rejections
B) PQ issues
C) Zero open issues at SoP
- Lead 8D & RCA reviews with cross‑functional teams
- Represent VES CEMM in management reviews and SoP gates at Plant level.
- Support supplier trials, deviations, part approvals, PROD implementation & cut off.
- Provide technical decision for electrical/electronic issues
- Coordinate with Design, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program teams
- Manage engineering changes and supplier technical risks
- Coordinate with design, quality, and supplier teams during launches.
Experience
10 - 12 years
Industry Preferred
Preferred Experience
- DE / CDMM / Supplier Development role
- Automotive OEM or Tier‑1 exposure
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 / automotive quality systems

B.E / B. Tech
M.E / M. Tech
General Requirements
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Experience with automotive components
- Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans
- Knowledge of Vehicle integration & diagnostic.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good cross function team coordination and communication skills
