Experience
The ideal candidate will possess between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a strong background in quality assurance within the automotive manufacturing sector. Experience with quality management systems and methodologies, coupled with hands-on experience in automotive powertrain components, is crucial for success in this role. Your expertise should reflect a deep understanding of industry standards and practices, positioned to translate these into actionable insights for your team.
Industry Preferred
We prefer candidates with substantial experience in the automotive powertrain manufacturing OEM sector. Familiarity with the specific challenges and standards prevalent in this industry will be crucial for success. This includes understanding the nuances of manufacturing, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction unique to automotive component production.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Candidates with a strong theoretical foundation and practical application of mechanical engineering principles are especially encouraged to apply. Additional certifications related to quality management and assurance will be considered a significant advantage.
General Requirements
General requirements include:
- A strong foundation in manufacturing processes, particularly in assembly and machine shop environments.
- Proficient knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) systems.
- Experience in Failure Analysis and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
- Ability to utilise Problem Solving Tools effectively.
- Skills in Team Management and collaboration.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
- In-depth Product Knowledge of Transmissions, Transaxles, and Axles.
- Familiarity with Gear Manufacturing and quality inspection processes.
- Knowledge of Housing Machining techniques.
- A Certified Auditor qualification will be advantageous.
Additionally, Six Sigma certifications are highly desirable and reflect an applicant’s commitment to quality improvement methodologies.
