Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1.    Drawing Study & Part Feasibility study from foundry point of view
2.    APQP review for tool progress/part development
3.    To conduct Process audit, MPPAP audit & MPPAP approval
4.    CIR Preparation, discussion & Sign Off with suppliers.
5.    Casting/ Forging/Heat Treatment/Extrusion supplier assessment
6.    Knowledge on Casting 3D model and simulation study
7.    Able to resolve the quality issues related to GDC / HPDC castings, Sintered & Aluminum extruded parts.
8.    Accelerated PPAP Involvement: Streamline the PPAP and PSW processes, ensuring rapid part approval while maintaining strict quality adherence.
9.    Part development Feasibility at supplier end/toolmaker end.
10.    Monitor and ensure tool progress/tool inspection /part development
11.    Sample Manufacturing and sample inspection for cut section/mechanical properties/layout/Metallurgical properties/ Casting defect.
12.    Conduct FTR for new development part and die duplication for all plants
13.    Material cost reduction through casting weight reduction, process improvements.
14.    Agile Process Development: Continually refine and implement processes/tools for supplier component development, ensuring adaptability and rapid response to changes.
15.    Achieve quality targets (Rejection, rework, Cleanliness).
16.    Rapid Problem Solving: Lead swift resolution initiatives, employing the 8D Problem Solving Approach, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

Specific desirable experiences/ Preferred knowledge areas :
Knowledge of Engine,Casting (Al&GCI), Machining, Heat treatment, Powder Metallurgy, Extrusion, Special Processes.
Knowledge of various assembly methods, Automation technologies, Poke yoke and Functional testing
Excellent Audit skills
Knowledge of quality tools
ISO/TS quality systems, 
Knowledge about APQP / PPAP / PFMEA/ MSA / SPC / DCP / GD &T
Handling of Inspection Equipements and metrological knowledge
Structured Problem solving Techniques like QC Story, G8D
Capacity analysis skills
Project Management skills
Knowledge of VAVE
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PPT, Word etc.,
