Short Description

CDMM – STA Engineer to manage supplier development and technical coordination for automotive lighting components. The role focuses on ensuring on‑time development, quality, and industrialization of lighting parts in collaboration with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical interface for lighting suppliers
  • Support development activities of Exterior lighting and Interior lighting
  • Drive APQP activities from RFQ to SOP
  • Ensure PPAP approval and supplier manufacturing readiness
  • Review tooling, process capability, and industrialization progress
  • Support quality issue resolution using 8D and root cause analysis
  • Coordinate with Design, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Program teams
  • Manage engineering changes and supplier technical risks
  • Define and execute Reliability and DVP&R plans; finalize warranty terms with suppliers.
  • Evaluate suppliers and carry out technical discussions to confirm feasibility.

    Required Skills & Knowledge

    • Experience with automotive lighting components
    • Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans
    • Knowledge of injection moulding and plastic parts
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
    • Good supplier coordination and communication skills

Experience

M.E. / M.Tech 4-8 yrs.
B.Tech/ B.E. 6-12 yrs.

Industry Preferred

Preferred Experience

  • STA / CDMM / Supplier Development role
  • Automotive OEM or Tier‑1 exposure
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 / automotive quality systems

BE / B.Tech
M.E. / M.Tech
