Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Partner closely with senior leadership to design and implement a forward-thinking people strategy that supports Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd's growth objectives within the Truck & Buses division.
- Develop, execute, and continuously refine an effective performance management system that promotes accountability, drives employee engagement, and identifies high-potential talent for advancement.
- Formulate, implement, and monitor comprehensive HR policies and governance frameworks that align with legal requirements and industry-leading standards, ensuring consistency across manufacturing operations.
- Lead organizational change and culture transformation initiatives that reinforce Mahindra's core values, fostering an inclusive and dynamic workplace environment.
- Establish and sustain a leadership development ecosystem through structured succession planning, targeted training programs, and mentoring schemes designed to nurture the next generation of leaders.
- Collaborate proactively with manufacturing leadership to nurture a progressive industrial relations climate that balances employee welfare with operational efficiency.
- Identify strategic opportunities to harness synergies within the wider Mahindra Group, facilitating cross-functional collaboration that enhances organizational resilience and competitiveness.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, embedding these principles into talent acquisition, employee development, and retention strategies.
- Oversee HR analytics and reporting to provide actionable insights that inform decision-making and track the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
Experience
- Possess 20+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with a strong strategic orientation.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing-led organizations within automotive, engineering, industrial, or heavy manufacturing sectors.
- Proven track record of strategically building or transforming HR systems in organizations undergoing significant scaling transitions.
- Postgraduate degree in Human Resources, Management, or related discipline from a reputed institution.
Industry Preferred
The preferred industry background is the Automotive Industry, specifically within manufacturing-driven environments such as truck and bus production. Candidates with experience in engineering, industrial manufacturing, or heavy equipment sectors, where complex HR challenges and rapid scaling are common, will find the role aligns well with their expertise.
Qualifications
Candidates are expected to possess the following qualifications:
- MBA with a specialization in Human Resources from a reputable and recognized institute.
- Additional certifications in leadership development, organizational change management, or industrial relations are advantageous.
- Continuous professional development and training in strategic HR leadership and related domains.
