Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Head - PMO (Product Development)
Role Purpose
Lead the PMO function for Product Development, acting as the central control tower for all programs and platforms, ensuring adherence to Time, Cost, Quality, and Performance targets through rigorous governance, tracking, risk management, and executive reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead governance and execution monitoring across the entire Product Development portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic roadmaps.
Establish and drive robust project management frameworks covering planning, milestone management, gateway reviews, resource deployment, risk management, and performance tracking.
Own enterprise-level visibility of all development programs and provide leadership with accurate, actionable insights on project health, risks, dependencies, and critical decision points.
Drive schedule adherence, budget control, quality compliance, and launch readiness across all platforms, aggregate programs, variants, and technology projects.
Conduct periodic deep-dive reviews of programs to identify execution risks, productivity gaps, technical concerns, and organizational bottlenecks.
Act as the escalation authority for critical program issues, ensuring timely intervention and resolution through cross-functional collaboration.
Lead resource and capacity planning across Product Development functions, ensuring optimal utilization and alignment with business priorities.
Own financial governance for development budgets and Capex, ensuring effective allocation, utilization, and control of investments.
Facilitate executive reviews, governance councils, and portfolio reviews, providing concise recommendations and recovery plans where required.
Drive risk anticipation and mitigation through strong program controls, predictive monitoring, and recovery management practices.
Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Purchasing, and Program Teams to ensure seamless execution and successful product launches.
Champion continuous improvement, PMO maturity, governance excellence, and deployment of best-in-class project management practices.
SOP and governance ownership
