Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Develop quality parts in line with APQP requirements to meet production targets.

Review drawings and confirm manufacturability of components.

Prepare detailed component cost estimates and costing analysis for new parts.

Support material and tooling cost finalization within approved budgets.

Identify and select suppliers as per sourcing policies and guidelines.

Plan supplier manufacturing processes and develop Process Flow Charts (PFC) and Control Plans.

Conduct MSA and SPC studies wherever applicable.

Complete PPAP requirements and documentation as per quality standards.

Participate in PPAP trials, validate parts, and approve PPAP submissions.

Ensure project milestones are achieved in line with MPDS gateway targets.

Deliver part development with optimum quality, cost, and timeline performance.

Ensure proper planning and readiness of fixtures, gauges, and tooling for development.

Drive First Time Right (FTR) PPAP approvals.

Contribute to project feasibility assessments and risk evaluations.

Ensure achievement of PIST and PIPC targets and process capability requirements.

Achieve 100% GR acceptance of parts after PPAP approval.

Collaborate with commodity teams to identify suppliers, evaluate ratings, assess costs, and ensure compliance with sourcing strategies.
