Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Platform Head to lead the Global & Novo Platform within the Farm Division. About the Role:

As the Chief Platform Head, you will be responsible for defining and guiding the product platform strategy to ensure alignment with the company’s vision and customer needs in the farming sector. Your leadership will enable the development and delivery of advanced, scalable, and sustainable platforms that underpin Mahindra’s agricultural machinery offerings.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in platform leadership, technology integration, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with R&D, engineering, marketing, and business units to architect solutions that enhance product performance, improve user experience, and maintain competitive advantage in global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic planning, design, development, and rollout of global product platforms, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Drive innovation by integrating emerging technologies relevant to agricultural machinery platforms, including digital and smart farming capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platforms are designed for scalability, modularity, and adaptability to diverse market requirements.
• Establish and enforce robust governance frameworks for platform development, including risk management and compliance with industry standards.
• Foster strong partnerships with suppliers, technology providers, and internal stakeholders to enhance platform capabilities and reduce time to market.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for platform teams, nurturing a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor competitive trends and customer feedback to inform platform enhancements and future product roadmaps.
• Manage resources effectively with an emphasis on delivering operational efficiency while achieving strategic goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven track record in leading platform development or product leadership roles within automotive, farm machinery, or related industries.
• Strong expertise in product lifecycle management, platform engineering, and integration of digital technologies in product ecosystems.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with capacity to steer complex projects and align multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including global teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, enhance product performance, and deliver customer-centric solutions.

• Educational qualifications in engineering, technology, business management, or related fields are desirable.
