Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Material Procurement and Planning: Oversee the procurement and planning of materials for casting, forging, electrical & electronic components, and parts used in vehicles and aggregates and foundry components.
Utilization of IT Tools: Leverage IT systems such as LTP, MRP, and Asterisk for efficient planning and material management.
Supplier Capacity Planning: Monitor supplier capacity to meet material requirements and escalate issues as necessary. Collaborate with supplier partners to address any gaps and ensure timely delivery.
Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensure parts and inventory norms are maintained.
Plant-Level SCM Support: Coordination with Plant SCM, PPC, SSU and Accounts.
Change Management: Implement and manage changes in engineering processes (EN process) to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with operational needs.
Cost Optimization: Focus on cost-saving initiatives across packaging, materials, and logistics to reduce overall costs. Coordinate efforts to achieve packaging cost and logistics savings for the department
Focus on ESG: Prioritize Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives in material procurement and supplier engagement.
Team Management of South Hub: Lead and manage the South Hub team.

Preferred Industries

Education Qualification

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical / Automobile 
Bachelors of Technology in Mechanical / Automobile 
Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical / Automobile

General Experience

15 + years of work experience in  Supply Chain Buying, Procurement, Capacity Planning.

Should have led Plant SCM team.
