Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As a Deputy Manager - PM, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and managing end-to-end program management activities within an engineering environment. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure delivery against Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives in a dynamic and agile project setup. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Managing and supporting end-to-end program management in an agile and dynamic work environment for an Engineering vertical
- Preparing Master Project Plan with list of related system level & functional level activities, work package plan, resource plan, budget plan & time plan and communicates to CFT members to ensure QCD of the project.
- Planning, tracking, and monitoring project budgets, TCP and risks, including critical milestones and deliverables
- Gateway tracking - Preparing activity charts with dependent activities and work out efficient path identify critical path critical activity and resources.
- Supporting PM / PM-Lead and DH on resource availability and facilitate & drive the process flow for project work
- Preparing & monitoring the project timelines in line with the project scope in consultation with all the stakeholders.
- Preparing and releasing periodic budget status reports to stakeholders
- Identifying, understanding, and managing program risks; preparing risk reports in collaboration with Centers of Excellence (COEs)
- Preparing, tracking, and monitoring Budget, Cost, Quality and Delivery Timeline of the project and escalate the discrepancies to the superiors with probable solutions.
- Risk analysis and mitigation. Proactively flagging the potential risk areas and ensuring that a mitigation plan is made available.
- Working closely with in-house program managers to coordinate and releasing data within tight timelines
- Managing and maintaining project and program data on shared servers
- Ensuring timely and accurate release of reports related to budget, risks, and program TCP status
- Aligning with all stake holders to facilitate management reviews and managing data consolidation for management reviews.
Experience
To thrive in this position, you should possess:
Between 2 to 5 years of professional experience in the program management. Having experience with CAE and Vehicle Development is an added advantage.
Industry Preferred
Your expertise is especially valued in the automotive industry (OEMs & Tier-I Suppliers), where your contributions can significantly impact vehicle design and performance.
Your background in automotive engineering will provide the foundation for understanding the unique challenges and demands of this industry.
Qualifications
We seek a candidate with the following educational qualifications:
- B.E. / B. Tech in Engineering (Mandatory), preferably from reputed engineering colleges. M.E./ M.Tech would be an added advantage.
- PMI or equivalent Project Management certification will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to CAE, NVH, Crash, Durability, Dynamics, or Safety Systems is an added advantage.

- Knowledge / Hands on Experience of Automotive technology, ICE / electric Powertrain systems, Vehicle Interface systems
- Excellent communication, Presentation, analytical & stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge on the Project Management process & New Product Development Processes
- Knowledge of Project Budget & Product Costing
- Knowledge of Quality Processes (Stage Gate process / PTR/ FTR/ APQP, DFMEA/ PFMEA Etc.)
- Creating project plans using MS Project, Excel, PPT
- Tracking issues / risks / open points using Excel
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
